James - was talking with Bill Knight in 2007 that Schuetzen was to be re-formulated to generate higher velocities and the powder would be shipped in 2008. Recently, Bill informed me that 'it is identical to previous shipments'

What happened?

I shoot a lot of Schuetzen FFg and FFFg but my lots are 2007

WANO is working on this issue. I hope to have some samples of the improved Schuetzen in a few months.

Jim - thanks kindly for the reply. Please put up a post with the details and when the new powder is available to the retail market. Am sure many BPCR shooters would want some of the re-formulated powder - including me

First results look good. Very good. Problem is that I need to sell the current inventory before I can bring in the new stuff. Wink

James - thanks for the update. I try to shoot only powder with Alder Blackthorn (Swiss) for BPCR and use it for steel silhouette and out to 1000yds. Only issue with the current lot of old Schuetzen, is my 500+ recipes go subsonic to quickly out to 1000yds

Here's a suggestion to get rid of the current lots: More and more CAS shooters are moving over to shooting black powder. Run an ad in the SASS Cowboy Chronicle with a 10% or ? discount coupon that they can buy the current Schuetzen from the Distributors. The old lots will move quickly!

Presently, I've got (16.01.2006 ... WP-06A0007) remaining in inventory that I'm using up for CAS only and understand that 25-09-20007 powder is being sold by Graf

Then, let me know the lot number of the new stuff and I'm in for a case! Okie Dookie? Very Happy

We've started shipping 2Fg with the higher velocities but not the 3Fg left as we still have some of the older stuff to move first. Improved by about 8-10% depending of the firearm. Seen some real nice improvement in Silhouette shooting out to turkeys. Waiting results on Rams.

Jim - add another question ... Is Graf's the only retailer for the new improved lots of Schuetzen?
